Brussels' 3 Famous Peeing Statues

Brussels has three statues famous for doing the same thing. Manneken Pis is the little boy everybody photographs, Jeanneke Pis is the little girl tucked into an alley, and Het Zinneke — better known as Zinneke Pis — is the dog. They sit within about fifteen minutes' walk of each other, so a single loop covers all three.

The three statues at a glance

Manneken Pis
1619 · Rue de l'Étuve / Rue du Chêne, next to Grand Place. Bronze figure, roughly 61 cm tall, and the most photographed spot in the city.
Jeanneke Pis
1987 · Impasse de la Fidélité, a short alley near Manneken Pis. Smaller and much quieter than the boy.
Het Zinneke / Zinneke Pis
1999 · Rue des Chartreux 35, in the Chartreux district. A bronze mongrel lifting its leg against a lamppost, about a 10-minute walk from Grand Place.
Total walking distance
Roughly 2 km for a Grand Place loop taking in all three, comfortably done in 45–60 minutes at a normal pace.
